1 Person Dead in Seekonk; Investigation Underway – NBC Boston

Authorities are investigating a death that occurred in Seekonk, Massachusetts early Sunday morning, the Bristol County District Attorney confirmed.

Traffic is currently detoured around Route 6 and School Street as police investigate following an incident that occurred in the area. A overturned car was seen in front of a Michelin Tire shop there.

Nearby resident Joe Machado told NBC 10 Boston he heard gunshots this morning at around 6:30a.m.

“I said it’s very serious, I’ve never seen anything like it and I’ve been living here a long time,” said Machado.

“The situation is under control and there is no threat to the public,” Seekonk Police tweeted Sunday morning.
