Dick Vitale is shutting it down for the remainder of the school basketball season, he introduced Monday. 

The 82-year-old will spend the time resting his throat and voice forward of obligatory surgical procedure. 

Vitale made a quick return for an ESPN broadcast in November after being identified with melanoma and lymphoma, however had spent current weeks resting after being identified with dysplasia and ulcerated lesions of the vocal cords.
