A hiker attempting to take a photograph on an Arizona mountaintop slipped and fell to his loss of life, authorities mentioned.
Richard Jacobson, 21, fell an estimated 400 to 700 toes from the Flatiron Path summit at Los Dutchman State Park after midnight Monday, a spokesperson from the Pinal County Sheriff’s Workplace informed The Submit.
He’d been tenting with a buddy on prime of Flat Iron, the sheriff’s workplace mentioned. Jacobson had gone “to the sting to take a photograph” when he slipped, based on the spokesperson. The buddy known as 911 at about 12:45 a.m.
“He slipped and fell,” Sgt. Doug Peoble informed Fox 10. “I can let you know that in our investigation, there [were] no indicators of foul play. No indicators of drug use in any way. It was only a very tragic accident.”
Authorities used a helicopter to airlift Jacobson’s distraught buddy from the mountain, based on the station.
The sheriff’s workplace mentioned the Arizona Division of Public Security Ranger helicopter assisted with recovering Jacobson’s physique from the path.
