The Concern: Manhattan District Legal professional Alvin Bragg’s hiring of a public-relations advisor.

I’ll save Manhattan District Legal professional Alvin Bragg the money and time he’s going to make use of on a public-relations skilled: Simply prosecute criminals (“Scuffed Bragg tries to shine his picture,” Jan. 18).

That’s what he was employed to do, not reinvent the justice system.

Most individuals need criminals — repeat offenders — locked up. If he's refusing to do his job, then he must be fired. If he’s having a picture downside, it’s even clearer that almost all of New Yorkers don’t agree with him.

It's good to see there are individuals left with sufficient sense to disagree with this moron.

As an alternative of consulting a public-relations advisor to assist his picture, why not simply put criminals in jail with prolonged sentences? That might drastically polish his picture — plus, it’s the job he's paid to do.

The entire latest tragic murders have one factor in frequent: The killers all have lengthy rap sheets and may have (and will have) been behind bars.

So DA Bragg admits his first two weeks have been tough. Nicely, he introduced it upon himself by swearing to go straightforward on crime.

Ask any first rate, hardworking New York resident, and so they’ll inform you we wish regulation enforcement and prosecutors to go powerful on crime.

Except Bragg does a whole, 180-degree turnaround, his days as Manhattan DA are numbered.

Bert Wedemeyer

Brooklyn

I discover DA Bragg amusing, if not misinformed. His soliloquy about his first two weeks being difficult and his private experiences with crime fail each check of frequent sense.

I’m so sorry he's misunderstood, however I'm really sorry for all of the households and New York Metropolis residents who can be victims of violence because of his selection of harmful and misguided insurance policies.

Bragg has already proven his character. To back-pedal with PR is simply to solidify that what he mentioned he meant.

Bragg isn’t the neatest instrument within the field. He must be eliminated instantly.

The Concern: Tom Hogan’s column on the rise of progressive prosecutors in Democratic-run cities.

In Tom Hogan’s piece on “progressive” prosecutors in Monday’s Submit, he omits one fairly possible motivation of those destroyers of societal security (“Cracking the case of the ‘woke’ prosecutor,” Jan 17).

It’s their rage on the utter and full failure of fifty years’ price of leftist governmental insurance policies enacted in an effort to attempt to elevate the tutorial, financial and familial well-being of America’s black group.

Fairly than alter these disastrous insurance policies, these leftist anachronisms posing as DAs select to rain bedlam on society to “treatment” the disparate affect and inequities for which they, en masse, are accountable. What a pathetic and harmful bunch they're.

Anthony Parks

Backyard Metropolis

Tom Hogan asks how will we get “woke prosecutors”? Right here’s the reply: Combine a giant dose of incompetence with a heaping teaspoon of naivete, add ignorance and eventually add a complete lack of compassion for these whose lives you’re destroying.

Prepare dinner the above on any American campus for six to eight years and switch them free on any metropolis that can elect them, which appears to be most of them within the nation.
