Mayor Eric Adams signed two government orders Saturday as he kicked off his new administration.
One order continued the state of emergency put in place by Mayor Invoice de Blasio’s administration to take care of COVID-19, and the opposite maintained the “Key to the Metropolis” order that requires proof of vaccination in designated indoor settings.
“Our focus within the weeks and months forward will probably be on beating again the #Omicron surge and placing our metropolis on a path towards an equitable restoration. We’ll work day in and time out to get that finished,” Adams tweeted.
He signed the orders within the early afternoon shortly after giving a quick inaugural deal with from Metropolis Corridor.
