The Tonga Olympian who garnered consideration because the heartthrob of the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Video games painted a bleak image of circumstances in his homeland Saturday following the eruption of an undersea volcano close to the tiny island kingdom.
“Our household in Haapai has had all communication reduce off,” Pita Taufatofuathe, a martial artist and cross-country skier, wrote on Instagram.
