Wisconsin bans fan for anti-Asian gesture at Northwestern students

A Wisconsin fan has been banned from future athletic occasions for making an anti-Asian gesture at Northwestern college students.

The College of Wisconsin has banned a fan who made an anti-Asian gesture on the Northwestern pupil part.

Earlier this week, a video of a Wisconsin fan flipping off and making a “slant-eyed” gesture on the Northwestern pupil part at Tuesday evening’s basketball sport in Evanston went viral. There was a collective, audible gasp from the group of Northwestern college students the gesture was directed at.

When the fan was ejected, he made the anti-Asian gesture once more.

The College of Wisconsin condemned the act and introduced that the unnamed fan is banned from its future athletic occasions.

“We be a part of with @UWBadgers and all #Badgers in condemning the abhorrent anti-Asian actions of an attendee on the Northwestern sport this week,” UW-Madison tweeted. “We applaud NU for eradicating him. He's not welcome at UW Athletics occasions – we're barring him from shopping for tickets on our platform.”
