A 14-year-old woman in Louisiana has been arrested after she tried to rent a hitman to kill her ex-boyfriend on Valentine’s Day, authorities mentioned.
Police mentioned the teenager’s makes an attempt to order the hit on her 14-year-old ex have been thwarted by authorities Tuesday after she made the request by way of a faux web site, 4WWL reported.
The woman, whose identify hasn’t been launched due to her age, was taken into custody after the administrator of the satirical web site RentAHitman.com alerted authorities.
The teenager was booked into East Baton Rouge Juvenile Detention Heart on a solicitation for homicide cost.
“My consumer is a juvenile to begin with. With a view to perform any crime, it's a must to have the wherewithal to make it occur,” the woman’s lawyer, Michael Nunnery, instructed the outlet.
“This can be a 14-year-old, she doesn’t have $5 to pay a hitman.”
The homepage of the faux hitman web site includes a button that reads: “Acquired Points? Click on Right here.”
It takes customers to a service request kind that asks for the person’s full identify, birthday and speak to data.
