Brian Flores lawsuit derailed Dolphins’ wild Tom Brady-Sean Payton plan

The Dolphins apparently had desires of a Tom Brady-Sean Payton partnership for the 2022 season.

Based on Professional Soccer Discuss, Miami contacted the Saints after the tip of the 2021 season for permission to talk with Payton concerning the Dolphins’ then-vacant head coach place.

The Dolphins reportedly reached out after Payton resigned on Jan. 25, however New Orleans declined the request.

McDaniel, who's biracial, changed Flores after the Dolphins fired him in January following two successful seasons. Flores landed a job with the Steelers as a senior defensive assistant and linebackers coach, the crew introduced on Feb. 19.
