The household of slain NYPD rookie Jason Rivera commissioned a mural of the officer for the Manhattan neighborhood the place he grew up.
The massive picture, painted by Bronx road artist Andre Trenier, adorns a wall of the Washington Heights Academy, an elementary faculty in Inwood close to the place Rivera grew up, based on 1010 WINS reporter Samantha Liebman in a tweet.

“Rising up in Inwood, Manhattan, the neighborhood’s relationship between the police and the neighborhood was not nice,” Rivera wrote in a letter to his commanding officer.
