Israel’s Holocaust museum invites Whoopi Goldberg to visit

The chairman of Israel’s nationwide Holocaust museum invited Whoopi Goldberg to go to, saying the now-suspended co-host of ABC’s “The View” has a “elementary misunderstanding of the character of the Holocaust and anti-Semitism.”

Goldberg landed in scorching water this week after saying that the genocide of European Jews by the Nazis “isn’t about race.” Dani Dayan, the chairman of Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, stated it was unlucky that Goldberg’s feedback got here simply days after the world marked Worldwide Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Throughout Monday’s broadcast, Goldberg, 66, first argued that the Holocaust went past race throughout a dialogue a few Tennessee college district’s determination to ban “Maus,” the Pulitzer Prize-winning graphic novel a few Holocaust survivor.

Regardless of the apology, ABC Information president Kim Godwin handed down a two-week suspension.
