More subway violence as man punched in face, robbed on NYC train

A person was socked within the face by a mugger who swiped his money on a Manhattan practice early Tuesday, cops mentioned. 

The straphanger was on a northbound 1 practice at West twenty eighth Road and Seventh Avenue in Chelsea round 5 a.m. when the suspect instantly punched him and stole an undetermined amount of money, authorities mentioned. 

The sufferer was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital with non-life-threatening accidents.

The suspect, who gave the impression to be in his 40s, fled on foot.

The incident follows a violent weekend on the rails — together with a person threatened with a hatchet in Brooklyn and one other lady who was struck with a steel pole within the Bronx. 

The disturbing crime pattern underground comes as Mayor Eric Adams kicks off his crackdown on homelessness and rule-breaking on the rails.
