WNBA All-Star and Olympic champion Brittney Griner was arrested in Russia on drug smuggling costs after she was discovered with vape cartridges in her carry-on baggage at a Moscow airport, in accordance with Russian information sources.

Russia’s Interfax information company mentioned a feminine US basketball participant was arrested in February, at Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow after arriving on a flight from New York.

A drug sniffing canine indicated narcotics in baggage, and when the bag was X-rayed, “so-called ‘vapes'” have been found “with a selected order,” in accordance with Interfax, which cited the Russian Federal Customs Service.

“The professional discovered that the liquid is a narcotic drug hashish oil (cannabis oil),” Interax mentioned.

The unbiased Russian information web site recognized the participant as Griner.

Griner has been absent from social media since Feb. 5.
