Blue Jays fan arrested for punching cop on Opening Day

Some Blue Jays followers had been a little bit too pumped up for the crew’s first Opening Day since 2019.

A 27-year-old Toronto girl is dealing with expenses after punching a police officer at Rogers Centre, in line with Toronto’s CTV Information. On Saturday, police mentioned the lady was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer and being intoxicated in a public house.

Close by followers within the 500 stage on the stadium captured the incident on digital camera, which confirmed the lady getting pinned to the concrete stairs and handcuffed by a number of cops.

In line with CTV Information, police mentioned a girl and man had been concerned in a bodily altercation with a number of different patrons on the sport and had been requested to depart the stadium as a result of disorderly conduct. That’s when the lady subsequently punched the officer within the face, police mentioned. No accidents had been reported.
