Two-time NBA champion J.R. Smith has transitioned from the court docket to the golf course and classroom effortlessly.
The previous sixth man of the 12 months was named North Carolina A&T’s Educational Athlete of the 12 months with a 4.0 GPA on Monday. Smith, 36, enrolled at North Carolina A&T on Aug. 11, pursuing a level in liberal research with the intention of becoming a member of the golf staff whereas awaiting a choice from the NCAA concerning his eligibility. On Aug. 24, only a day after beginning lessons, he was cleared to play golf for the Aggies.
Smith, who initially dedicated to North Carolina to play basketball, ended up getting drafted straight out of highschool because the No. 18 choose by the New Orleans Hornets within the 2004 NBA Draft.

LeBron James, who gained an NBA championship with Smith in Cleveland, congratulated his former teammate.
“YESSIR @TheRealJRSmith!! Happy with you Child!!! Love bro,” James tweeted.
Smith performed 4 of his 16 NBA seasons with the Knicks.
