A 61-year-old man was killed when a blaze erupted in his Queens residence early Wednesday, authorities stated.
The fireplace broke out within the basement of the two-story residence on Bedell Road close to one hundred and fifteenth Highway in Jamaica round 4:30 a.m., officers stated.
Colin Cyrus was found unconscious and unresponsive – with extreme burns – inside the house, police stated.



He was pronounced lifeless on scene by EMS.
Nobody else was damage, based on the FDNY.
The blaze, which drew a dozen items with 60 firefighters to the scene, was below management by 5:10 a.m., the FDNY stated.
The trigger was below investigation later within the morning, however there have been no fast indicators of criminality.
