Russia has banned entry to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and a number of other different prime officers after the UK imposed sanctions on Russia over its navy operation in Ukraine.

“This step was taken as a response to London’s unbridled info and political marketing campaign geared toward isolating Russia internationally, creating situations for proscribing our nation and strangling the home economic system,” Russia’s Ministry of Overseas Affairs mentioned in an announcement on Saturday.

The ministry accused the UK authorities of “unprecedented hostile actions”, particularly referring to sanctions on Russia’s senior officers.

“The British management is intentionally aggravating the state of affairs surrounding Ukraine, pumping the Kyiv regime with deadly weapons and coordinating related efforts on the behalf of NATO,” the ministry mentioned.

Russia’s entry blacklist contains UK Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab, Overseas Secretary Liz Truss, Defence Secretary Ben Wallace, former PM Theresa Could and the primary minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon.

The UK has been a part of a world effort to punish Russia with asset freezes, journey bans and financial sanctions since President Vladimir Putin moved troops into Ukraine on February 24.
