What does the ‘Battle for Donbas’ mean for the Ukraine war?

It has been practically two months since Russian forces invaded neighbouring Ukraine. The battle has killed numerous civilians and displaced tens of millions.

Now, Moscow says it's shifting its focus to the east – the place it has elevated its assault in the Donbas area.
