Body of missing University of Minnesota student found in Mississippi River

Native authorities made an announcement Friday, twelve days after College of Minnesota honors pupil Austin Retterath was reported lacking, that his physique had been discovered within the Mississippi River. 

The College of Minnesota Police Division introduced on its Fb web page Friday that, alongside the Minnesota Bureau of Legal Apprehension, they had been canceling their lacking individual alert for 19-year-old Retterath. This comes after the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Workplace had recognized a person discovered deceased within the Mississippi River two days earlier Wednesday as the identical lacking honors engineering pupil. 

The investigation concluded there was no indication of foul play, in accordance with the businesses. 

Retterath, described as standing roughly 6-foot-2, weighing 160 kilos, and having blonde hair, was final seen alive on Might 8 within the space of East River Highway and Franklin Avenue in Minneapolis. 

His reason for loss of life was not instantly identified. 

FOX 9 Minneapolis beforehand reported the teenager was enrolled within the School of Science and Engineering. He reportedly made the dean’s record within the fall of 2021. 

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that his Instagram account says he's a member of the college’s class of 2025.
