NYC man tried to steal money from catholic church donations, video shows

Police are trying to find a person who tried to steal cash from a donation field at a church in Queens.

The Palm Sunday incident passed off round 6:35 p.m. when a person in his 50s, was seen on surveillance video sauntering into Most Treasured Blood Catholic Church in Astoria and attempting to pry open the field with some type of device.

The thief, who failed in his try to open the poor field and left, was described as 5-foot-10, with a medium construct and curly hair. He was final seen sporting a black hooded sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, black boots and carrying a black shoulder bag.
