Robb Elementary School teacher recalls moment she heard gunfire in nearby class

A Robb Elementary Faculty instructor recalled the harrowing second she heard the sound of gunfire ricochet down the corridor when 18-year-old Salvador Ramos allegedly started his rampage.

The instructor, who requested to be nameless, advised NBC Information in a Wednesday interview that the following mass capturing the place the gunman allegedly killed 19 college students and two academics in one other classroom was “the longest 35 minutes of my life.”

The instructor, who was sitting on the ground in the midst of the room, motioned for her teary-eyed college students to return sit together with her. She held them in her arms and whispered for them to hope silently.

“After the final child, I rotated to make sure everybody was out,” the instructor advised NBC. “I knew I needed to go shortly, however I wasn’t leaving till I knew for certain.”

Later within the day, dad and mom of her college students texted her: “Thanks for conserving my child secure.”
