Indianapolis Colts security Khari Willis is retiring from the NFL after simply three seasons. His cause for doing so is much more distinctive.
The 26-year-old is giving up professional soccer to enter the ministry.
Willis introduced his retirement Wednesday on Instagram. He thanked the Colts for “granting me the chance to compete” and defined that with “a lot prayer and deliberation” that he wished to dedicate the remainder of his life to “the additional development of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
Willis, who was chosen within the fourth spherical of the 2019 draft out of Michigan State, took over because the Colts beginning sturdy security halfway by his rookie 12 months.
