Marine Corps sparks outrage with rainbow bullets to mark Pride month

The Marine Corps marked the beginning of Pleasure month with a picture of a fight helmet adorned with rainbow-colored bullets on Wednesday — sparking outrage over the blending of warfare and wokeness.

“All through June, the USMC takes #Pleasure in recognizing and honoring the contributions of our LGBTQ service members,” the Marines tweeted on their official account.

“We stay dedicated to fostering an setting free from discrimination, and defend the values of treating all equally, with dignity and respect.”

The message was accompanied by a picture paying homage to the poster for the 1987 Vietnam Battle film “Full Steel Jacket,” which featured a helmet with rounds of high-powered rifle ammo tucked into its band.

The tweet rapidly prompted hundreds of responses, with Erick Aguilar, a Republican congressional candidate in Florida, sarcastically asking, “Ummmm….. Is that this satire?”

Jason Buttrill, whose profile says he’s a former Marine and Protection Division analyst, wrote, “F–okay out of right here with this. We don’t take political sides, and we don’t interact in social commentary. We kill the enemy… interval.”

Consumer @Hannibalsbarka snarked, “Getting killed by a rainbow bullet is so progressive.”
