A Norwegian Cruise Line ship on the best way to an Alaskan glacier hit an iceberg over the weekend and is being rotated resulting from injury.
The ship, the Norwegian Solar, smacked into the minor iceberg, also referred to as a growler, on Saturday and was rerouted to Juneau for inspection.
“On June 25, 2022 whereas transiting to Hubbard Glacier in Alaska, Norwegian Solar made contact with a growler,” a Norwegian Cruise spokesperson informed The Submit.

On Monday, the Juneau Empire reported the ship sustained injury after divers inspected it and it needed to return to Seattle for repairs, in line with Petty Officer 1st Class Nate Littlejohn, a Coast Guard spokesperson.

A Norwegian Cruise spokesperson confirmed to The Submit that the ship was given clearance by the USA Coast Guard and different native maritime authorities to return to Seattle “at diminished velocity.”
