Jose Cuas was a stalled-out prospect working as a FedEx driver. But he never gave up the route to his MLB dream

New York Metropolis’s high shortstop was at house in Toronto.

Jose Cuas had his personal main league locker. He bought dressed beside Jose Bautista. He took batting follow with Edwin Encarnacion. He fielded grounders on the Rogers Centre turf.

Cuas, a late-round 2012 draft decide of the Blue Jays, was a current graduate of Grand Avenue Campus Excessive College in Brooklyn. For that sooner or later, he felt like a giant leaguer. He then selected to go to varsity as a result of he knew he’d return to the majors. 

“I’m within the clubhouse with Bautista and Encarnacion, and I’m speaking to them, like, ‘Wow, I actually wish to signal,’” Cuas stated. “However they made positive to let me know, ‘Hey, they’re displaying you the attractive life, the attractive a part of baseball. When you signal, you don’t see any of this for years.’”
