Michigan officers say there don't look like any survivors after a single-engine airplane crashed on Friday evening within the western portion of the state.
The Michigan State Police stated in a tweet that the crash occurred at 6:15 p.m. in Shelby Township, which is about one hour northwest of Grand Rapids.
State police say that there look like no survivors, and it’s unconfirmed what number of people are on the airplane.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash, in keeping with the tweet.
“MSP Hart Submit Troopers are on the scene of a single engine airplane crash that occurred at approx. 6:15 PM this night south of 102nd Ave. in Shelby Twp., Oceana County. There seems to be no survivors and it's unconfirmed what number of people are on board. The FAA has been notified. This crash stays underneath investigation and particulars can be offered as they develop into obtainable,” the tweet says.
