An off-duty NYPD officer was robbed at gunpoint of his firearm and police identification within the Bronx Wednesday, police mentioned.
The 23-year-old had simply parked his automotive round 12:30 a.m. at Garrison Avenue and Barretto Road in Hunts Level and was eradicating objects from his trunk when the masked robber approached, police mentioned.
The criminal was holding a black firearm and mentioned “arms up,” police sources mentioned. The robber then requested, “Are you a cop?”



The thief took his pockets from his left entrance pants pocket and his Glock 17 from his off-duty holster and fled on Garrison Avenue, the sources mentioned. The pockets contained his police i.d., bank cards, money and keys.
The criminal was a male believed to be in his 30’s, with a medium construct, black hair and final seen sporting a black shirt, black shorts, white sneakers, a black face masks and a fanny pack round his chest, cops mentioned. Police launched video of the crime.
