Man rescued as boat gets stuck under Roosevelt Island bridge

The FDNY freed a sailboat that had gotten caught underneath the Roosevelt Island bridge on Saturday morning, officers mentioned.

A person was rescued by FDNY Marine items after the vessel’s mast bought wedged within the metal work on the bridge at about 7:15 a.m., a spokesperson advised The Submit.

In coordination with Division of Transportation bridge operators the boat was freed “with minimal harm,” in keeping with FDNY.
