Two folks died Saturday after their single-engine aircraft crash-landed subsequent to a busy restaurant in central Illinois, officers mentioned.
The aircraft crashed at about 12:30 p.m. on Route 116 in Hanna Metropolis, about 180 miles south of Chicago.
Peoria County officers mentioned the person and girl on board, who haven't but been recognized, have been killed and autopsies can be performed Monday, in accordance with The Peoria Star Journal.




The aircraft hit a number of buildings earlier than sputtering to the bottom and coming to a cease on a roadway subsequent to a restaurant full of a Saturday lunch crowd, the newspaper reported. Nobody else was instantly reported as injured.
The Nationwide Transportation Security Board mentioned that it was investigating the crash of the Mooney M20K aircraft.
