Dolphins executive Jason Jenkins dead at 47

Jason Jenkins, the Dolphins’ senior vice chairman of communications and group affairs, died Saturday, the workforce introduced at halftime of its preseason sport in opposition to the Eagles. He was 47.

“I'm heartbroken,” Dolphins proprietor Stephen Ross stated in an announcement. “Jason Jenkins was an icon within the Miami group, and above all a form and unimaginable household man. His dedication to our group was unmatched. He was my pal however most of all he was a beneficiant soul. My coronary heart is with Elizabeth and his youngsters tonight. The Jenkins household will all the time be part of the Dolphins household.”

Jenkins graduated from Texas Tech with a bachelor’s diploma in journalism in 1997. A Houston native, he was honored with an Excellent Alumni Award in 2017 and later gave the graduation tackle. He labored for the 49ers, Texas Southern College, and Lehigh College previous to the Dolphins.
