A person survived a roughly 100-foot fall off a California cliff edge that “crumbled” beneath him as he was strolling on it final week, authorities stated.
The person was strolling at daybreak Friday alongside the cliff overlooking Moss Seaside in San Mateo County, Calif., when the bottom beneath him collapsed, sending him plummeting, CAL FIRE San Mateo tweeted.
A girl heard the person’s cries for assist round 8:30 a.m. and dialed 911, CBS reported.
The rescue took about 22 minutes, authorities stated. Video posted to the CAL FIRE San Mateo unit’s Twitter account captured greater than a half-dozen firemen utilizing a pulley to deliver the person up the steep cliff face to security.
“Keep away from cliff edges as they're unstable,” CAL FIRE warned in its tweet.
