“Stranger Issues” star Jamie Campbell Bower, who performs lord of the “upside-down” Vecna within the Netflix collection, has come a good distance since he bombed his audition for the hero function of the “Harry Potter” franchise — if solely his penchant for naughty jokes hadn’t gotten one of the best of him.
The 33-year-old actor revealed the blunder whereas showing on Josh Horowitz’s “Joyful Unhappy Confused” podcast.
As Bower tells it, the younger actor had a gathering with the movie’s first director, Chris Columbus, for which he was requested to organize a joke.
“I had simply heard this joke a few fairy,” recalled Bower.
“Like, the explanation why the fairy sits on high of the Christmas tree. And it’s a very, like, soiled joke, as a result of it’s in regards to the Christmas tree up any person’s backside.”
The “Twilight” franchise star continued to explain how awkward issues acquired after the punchline flopped.
“And I instructed this joke within the audition, and there was once more, this type of air of silence after I stated it. And I used to be like, ‘Nicely, f – – ked that up,’ ” joked Bower.
