A rare look inside Bangladesh’s island camp for Rohingya refugees

Bangladesh is dwelling to the world’s largest refugee camp, internet hosting greater than one million Rohingya refugees who fled a brutal crackdown by Myanmar’s navy in 2017.

5 years later, the camp is beset by overcrowding, squalid situations and crime.

To ease these pressures, authorities have despatched greater than 23,000 refugees to a distant island, the place they plan to finally home 100,000.
