‘Kathy is not up to the job’: Ronald Lauder group rips Hochul as soft on crime in TV ad

A political advocacy group bankrolled by cosmetics inheritor Ronald Lauder has unleashed a TV advert slamming Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul as tender on crime and unwilling to scrub up New York’s “disastrous” cashless bail regulation.

Lauder, a conservative who ran for New York Metropolis mayor in 1989, simply dropped $2.5 million into the independently run SAFE TOGETHER NY group on Sept. 21.

The group produced the advert and helps Republican Congressman Lee Zeldin for governor.
