NYC smoke-shop worker shot while confronting robbers

A Manhattan smoke-shop worker was shot when he confronted three robbers exterior his retailer late Sunday, authorities stated. 

The 35-year-old employee was contained in the Orchard Smoke Store on Orchard Avenue close to East Houston Avenue on the Decrease East Aspect simply after 10:30 p.m. when the trio swiped about $12,000 in merchandise and round $300 in money, police stated. 

Because the bandits left, the employee went exterior and confronted them, cops stated.

Through the conflict, one of many suspects shot the employee within the torso and arm, cops stated. 

They then took off in a black sedan, authorities stated. No arrests have been made.

The employee was taken to Bellevue Hospital, the place he was listed in steady situation.
