Video footage captures robbers stealing a person’s $35,000 watch in Chelsea whereas the sufferer futilely tries to run away, cops say.
The creeps approached the 55-year-old sufferer round 10 p.m. Aug. 29 at 235 Ninth Ave., with one of many suspects lifting his shirt and performing as if he had a gun in his waistband, police stated.
“What’s up with the watch?” the robber requested of the sufferer’s Cartier timepiece, in keeping with police.
It was unclear if the suspect truly had a gun, police stated.
The sufferer ran to the intersection of West twenty fourth Road and Ninth Avenue to attempt to flee, however the robbers chased him, and a second suspect yanked the watch off the sufferer’s left wrist.
The suspects then fled in a black sedan that was final seen touring southbound on Ninth Avenue. The sufferer didn't endure any accidents.
