Yankees, Amazon add game to YES Network as Aaron Judge chase lingers

The Yankees have moved their recreation Friday so will probably be on each YES and Amazon Prime Video to keep away from any potential points with availability as Aaron Choose continues to take goal at Roger Maris’ 61 house runs.

The sport was initially supposed to only be on Amazon Prime Video, the paid subscription service that has been scheduled to air 21 of the Yankees’ video games this season. YES is partly owned by Amazon and the Yankees’ wished the best distribution for the sport.

“Amazon actually stepped up and got here via for Yankee followers,” Yankees president Randy Levine stated.

As Choose has contested for Maris’ mark, YES’ has had super rankings. Its broadcast Tuesday averaged 708,000 viewers, which was essentially the most for a telecast since 2014.

Final Friday, when Choose’s pursuit remained on simply Apple TV+, the Lawyer Normal of New York, Letitia James, chimed in saying the sport also needs to be on YES.

The Yankees pushed for that recreation to be simulcast on Apple TV+ nationally and regionally on YES. The Apple deal was with Main League Baseball, and didn't comprise any language to power that.

Apple, because it was its contractual proper, declined the Yankees and YES’ request. Choose didn't hit No. 61 on Apple.
