An Iowa man went to a canine kennel enterprise run by his estranged spouse earlier this month and fatally shot her, police mentioned.
Christopher Eugene Prichard was charged with first-degree homicide for allegedly killing Angela Prichard, 55, at Mississippi Ridge Kennelson Oct. 8, the state Division of Public Security mentioned.
Christopher Prichard had a no-contact order filed in opposition to him by his spouse on September and Oct. 7.
He allegedly instructed police he was indignant at Angela for submitting the order, KWQC reported.
Angela instructed police within the order that her husband had thrown a mug at her and slapped her in April.
Christopher allegedly admitted to police that he was arguing together with her within the kennel she operated when he killed her with the shotgun. The weapon was recovered on the scene.
Christopher was scheduled for trial subsequent month for the alleged assault on his spouse, in response to Jackson County Courthouse paperwork obtained by KPVI.
Christopher faces life in jail. He isn't talked about in Angela’s obituary.
“She was essentially the most caring, form hearted and loving mother, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt and buddy anybody may ever ask for,” it reads. “She was taken earlier than anybody may say goodbye, and shall be endlessly cherished and missed.”
