The Challenge: President Biden’s newest effort to faux away hovering inflation with a declare that it’s now simply 2%

Does President Biden ever hearken to himself? If he did, he would understand how unhealthy his rationale for inflation — and all the problems that his administration has made worse — is (“Lies, damned lies and Joe Biden,” Oct. 14).

In line with my mom, he's making the members of President Jimmy Carter’s administration seem like geniuses.

I ponder if there are folks like me who've mother and father who're struggling to the purpose they needed to come out of retirement.

Biden is ignoring the financial ache he's inflicting to the purpose the place we've got to think about his psychological capability to do his job. I feel voters are realizing the home of lies is crumbling.

Greg Raleigh

Washington, DC

From the “peaceable” withdrawal from Afghanistan and the “principally peaceable” protests to the “safe border” to crime and inflation, to not point out Hunter Biden’s enterprise offers, we the folks have been lied to by the Biden administration from the highest on down.

The Democrats’ mantra appears to be: “Imagine what we are saying, not what you see.” However we're not silly. We've seen all of it and we all know it's true, regardless of what they want us to imagine. Vote in November and silence the lies.

Bo Madden

Jupiter, Fla.

I want to know who advises our president and who writes his speeches that make him sound at instances like he’s less than velocity with what’s happening in the US.

It’s as if he’s being sabotaged by his personal folks within the White Home. Nothing however fools there.

Norma Wolfowitz

Union, NJ

Does Biden even know he always lies? I doubt it.

This man is of such diminished psychological capability that he's merely repeating what he's instructed to say.

Joe Nugent

Staten Island

So Biden continues to lie about inflation, oil manufacturing, Hunter and the border disaster.

His prevarication is hardly information, but it's anticipated that the midterms might be an in depth name.

How is that attainable? Who're these gullible simpletons who proceed to again the harmful insurance policies of the Democrats?

The Challenge: The impact of the newly carried out congestion pricing prices on the taxi business.

As a born-and-raised native New Yorker, I all the time use yellow cabs and by no means use Uber (“Can’t hack it! Loss of life & taxis,” Oct. 13).

The MTA says that congestion pricing will ease Manhattan visitors. Everyone knows that is nonsense. Individuals must stay their lives.

Congestion pricing has already been a confirmed failure outdoors of New York Metropolis. This won't reduce visitors. It's simply one other unjustified cash seize.

Kreg Ramone

Manhattan

Congestion pricing is like utilizing a leaf blower: It doesn’t eliminate the issue, it merely redistributes it elsewhere.

In London’s case, motorists stopped driving into the capital and switched to trains — and made it inconceivable to discover a parking spot on the station.

John Pugmire

Manhattan

Taxis ought to be exempt from congestion pricing. Many individuals, some who're mobility-challenged, can't take public transportation and want cabs.

Because it stands now, there’s already a bunch of surcharges on a cab journey. Who is aware of the place that cash goes? A ten-block journey the opposite night time value us near $20 with tip.

Drivers in addition to on a regular basis New Yorkers would be the ones to endure as soon as congestion pricing goes into impact.
