Sen. Patrick Leahy hospitalized after feeling unwell

US Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont was hospitalized Thursday after he felt unwell at his McLean, Virginia, dwelling, his workplace mentioned.

As a precaution, the 82-year-old Democrat was taken to a Washington-area hospital for assessments. On the advice of his medical doctors, he was anticipated to stay within the hospital in a single day for commentary.

Leahy, the longest-serving sitting senator, is just not searching for re-election in November.
