Suspect throws wrench through window of Cardinal Dolan’s residence at St. Patrick’s Cathedral

A suspect hurled a wrench via a window at Cardinal Timothy Dolan’s residence at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan on Friday afternoon, police mentioned. 

The instrument struck the home’s door and shattered its glass panel earlier than touchdown in a vestibule space that’s separated from the primary residence by one other door, cops mentioned. 

Dolan was not residence on the time of the two:15 p.m. incident. A housekeeper, upkeep employee and one other priest who lives on the Madison Avenue residence had been current,  mentioned Joseph Zwilling, the rep for the Archdiocese of New York, to The Submit.

“No person was harm, thanks be to God,” Zwilling mentioned by telephone. “No thought if it was focused, no thought who did it at this level.” 

Cops have recovered the wrench and mentioned no arrests have been made in reference to the incident.
