A bicyclist was killed in Queens on Thanksgiving when a hit-and-run tractor-trailer driver struck, trapped and dragged her a number of ft, authorities mentioned.
The bicycle owner was pedaling east on Liberty Avenue round 11:30 a.m. as a 2014 Kenworth T8 Sequence tractor, with a Heil Tanker trailer, made a left flip onto the Van Wyck Expressway Service Highway, cops mentioned.
The unidentified lady, 43, was thrown from her bike and have become trapped on the undercarriage of the tractor-trailer, police mentioned.
She was dragged a number of ft because the tractor continued south on the service highway, cops mentioned.
The motorist, who cops have recognized as a 48-year-old man, drove off after the collision, leaving the bicycle owner on the bottom.
The girl, who has not been recognized pending household notification, was pronounced useless on the scene.
No arrests have been made, and the NYPD’s Freeway Collision Investigation Squad is probing the incident.
