Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy suggests cutting funds to police that refuse to enforce gun laws

Sen. Chris Murphy on Sunday instructed withholding federal funds from legislation enforcement companies that refuse to implement state and nationwide gun legal guidelines within the wake of mass shootings in Colorado and Virginia.

Murphy (D-Conn.), an outspoken advocate for gun management legal guidelines and an assault weapons ban, stated the Senate must have a dialog about funding legislation enforcement outfits that balk at implementing gun legal guidelines in “Second Modification sanctuaries.”

“They've determined that they will basically refuse to implement legal guidelines which can be on the books. That could be a rising downside on this nation,” Murphy stated on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

“And I feel we’re ​going to must have a dialog about that in america Senate. Will we wish to proceed to provide funding to legislation enforcement in counties that refuse to implement state and federal gun legal guidelines?”​ he stated. ​
