E-bike rider killed in NYC hit-and-run, driver arrested: cops

An e-bike rider was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in Chelsea early Sunday, and the motive force was later charged with leaving the scene of an accident, cops stated.

Sufferer Carlos Garcia Ramos, 38, was driving the bicycle on West twenty fourth Road round Seventh Avenue in Manhattan when the motive force of an Infiniti sedan struck him from behind round 1:20 a.m., police stated.

The car was discovered unoccupied.

The driving force fled, and Ramos was rushed to Bellevue Hospital with head and physique trauma, cops stated. He was later pronounced lifeless.

The car was discovered unoccupied at West twenty fourth Road and Seventh Avenue.

The 24-year-old driver, Edgar Maeda-Luca, was later situated and arrested, in response to cops. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
