The Tyson Meals board has “continued confidence” in John Tyson’s management and can preserve him as CFO as he awaits trial after being discovered allegedly drunk and asleep in a stranger’s residence final month.
John Tyson, the great-grandson of the corporate’s founder who has served as Tyson Meals’ CFO since September, was caught on video being woke up by police from a stranger’s mattress whereas showing drunk on Nov. 7.
“The Board helps Mr. Tyson and has continued confidence in his potential to guide Tyson Meals as CFO,” the Tyson Meals’ board stated in a press release Thursday.
The board stated that it performed an impartial evaluation of the incident and can transfer forward with John Tyson in his present position.
Tyson was caught on a police physique digicam being arrested in a stranger’s bed room after the proprietor referred to as the police when she discovered “a male she didn't know asleep in her mattress.”
He has since apologized for the incident, saying, “I’m embarrassed and I wish to let that I take full accountability for my actions.”
“I'm dedicated to creating positive that this by no means occurs once more,” he added.
Regardless of seemingly copping to the incident, Tyson pleaded not responsible to public intoxication and trespassing fees Thursday.
Tyson’s trial is slated for Feb. 15.
