Kanye West mentioned he’s planning a 2024 presidential run and has tapped far-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos in a video posted to Twitter Sunday.
The video, by which West says Yiannopoulos is engaged on his marketing campaign, comes because the rapper’s Twitter account was restored after he was banned from the app within the wake of vile, anti-Semitic remarks he made final month.
“That is Milo proper right here, engaged on the marketing campaign,” West, 45, says within the video posted by the “PatriotTakes” Twitter account.
“Is that an announcement?” one of many males asks as they each snort.
“I assume it's,” Yiannopoulos — who most not too long ago labored as an unpaid intern for right-wing firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) — replies, chuckling. “Thanks, I settle for.”
The cameraman then asks West, “So you're working?”
“Sure,” Ye solutions with amusing. “It’s easy ’trigger ain’t no person can inform me, you realize, ‘It is best to say this, you shouldn’t say that,’ you realize? It’s simply we’re shifting in direction of the long run.”
West and Yiannopoulos have a shared expertise of creating horrific remarks and shortly being slammed by the general public.
West, who modified his authorized title to Ye, tweeted about going “demise con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE” in early October and was subsequently banned from the social media platform.
Earlier Sunday, the musician-turned-designer posted a message to his Twitter profile to see if his account was reinstated since Elon Musk took over the corporate.
“Testing Testing Seeing if my Twitter is unblocked,” West wrote to his almost 32 million followers.
Musk, who purchased the corporate for $44 billion, mentioned final month that West’s account was restored earlier than the acquisition and he was not consulted beforehand.
The billionaire restored former President Donald Trump’s Twitter account a day earlier after polling customers. Trump, who additionally introduced a 2024 White Home run, was dumped from Twitter within the aftermath of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
Yiannopoulos, who stays off Twitter, had largely disappeared from the general public eye since 2017, when he made feedback allegedly advocating for pedophilia — stating that intercourse between 13-year-olds and older males may be “life-affirming.”
He made headlines over the summer season with the announcement of his humble, unpaid gig working for Taylor Greene.
