Tap water turns brown but families are told it’s fine to drink

Households have been left disgusted by the brown water popping out of their faucets – which the authorities say is okay to drink.

Individuals in Moama, in southern New South Wales, have been instructed the discolored water gained’t return to regular for weeks.

Some have been compelled to drink bottled water, however that doesn’t resolve all their issues.

Sarah Dixon instructed 7News that she was taking her child to her dad and mom’ home to clean as she didn't wish to bathe her 13-week-old baby within the brown liquid.

“Being a nurse I do know what little parasites can lurk within the water so I used to be not risking the prospect.”

Murray River Council stated floodwater from rivers was affecting the filtered water provide.

“Whereas the filtered water is discolored, it's not dangerous and the filtered water high quality is inside the necessities of the Australian Ingesting Water Pointers,” a council spokesperson instructed the ABC.
