Two Ukrainian filmmakers be a part of the military and discover themselves caught between worlds.

This extraordinary story of two Ukrainian filmmakers who grew to become troopers spans the 2013 Maidan protests to the 2022 Russian invasion.

In 2014, they joined a voluntary battalion in jap Ukraine that turns right into a five-year full-time contract with the military.

After two years on the entrance line, a documentary they co-produced is nominated for an Oscar. Their commander grants them depart to journey to Hollywood.

One week later, they're again within the trenches.

Finally, they return to civilian life the place their filmmaking profession takes them on a visit to Cannes. They discover themselves stricken by flashbacks as they attempt to make sense of their experiences of each conflict and peace.
