Will Spain’s new position on Western Sahara make a difference?

Spain and Morocco have been at odds for a few years.

They've disagreed about territories, immigration and help for rebels within the area.

However a go to by the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez to Rabat this week is elevating hopes of improved ties.

It comes lower than a 12 months since Sanchez backed Morocco’s plan to grant autonomy to the disputed Western Sahara territory.

The Polisario Separatist group, which desires an unbiased state within the area, has rejected that plan.

So, what wouldn't it take to unravel this long-running battle?
