Florida firefighters save eagle speared by lightning near elementary school radio tower

An eagle is now protected after it was impaled by a lightning rod atop a 120-foot radio tower above an elementary college in MacClenny, Florida.

Firefighters from the MacClenny Fireplace Rescue Division assisted wildlife authorities to make sure the eagle was rescued safely, in response to Fox 13.

“Nice job, fellas. We're extraordinarily happy with you and what a name. To be up near America’s image of freedom, what a reminiscence!” learn a social media put up from MFRD.

Upon arriving on the scene, crews ascended to a peak of 100-feet.

An engineer then exited the firetruck’s bucket of a ladder and needed to hook into the tower to climb the remaining 20-feet.

As soon as free of the rod, the eagle flew down the place its security was ensured by wildlife rescuers.
